Sheridan’s love of cooking grew from many childhood years gardening, picking apples for pie, and being a watchful eye in the kitchen. His biggest influence came from watching his grandmother in her restaurant; Charlie’s Place, in Tofield, Alberta. Her influence inspired him to begin his culinary education at NAIT where he earned his certification as a Red Seal Chef. He then went on to receive his certification as a Nutritionist from SAIT’s Food Science and Health program.

Sheridan honed his skills working in many of Edmonton and Calgary’s top restaurants, but always strived for a more intimate culinary profession. In 2012 he launched his own private chef company which provides elegant, in-home dinner parties and cooking classes.

Apart from work directly in the kitchen, Sheridan has teamed up with Company’s Coming Cookbooks to write for their “Healthy Cooking” series. He has also published two of his own cookbooks; “Healthy Family Recipes,” and “400 Calorie Mains.”

At EAP, Sheridan is proud to offer not only his skills as a professional chef but also his background in nutrition and recipe crafting to produce unique and consistently great tasting meals.

David has been in the hospitality industry for over ten years. From a young age, it was apparent he had a strong passion for the food and beverage industry. From the age of 15 he worked as a cook in his local cafe in Stirling, Scotland, progressing his way through 2 high end restaurants in his home city as a line cook.

At the age of 18 he enrolled in a 2-year program for Hospitality Management at The Glasgow Metropolitan College in Central Scotland. This course delivered comprehensive training for all operations in the hospitality industry. Upon graduating, David decided to expand his experience while traveling. He has held the role of Assistant General Manager of larger corporate establishments in Canada, as well as worked in some of Australia’s top cocktail bars and restaurants. He is now a proud partner of Easy as Pie and could not be more excited for you to try their products!
